I am advertising my 15HH Welsh Cob (cross?). He is a handsome talented 9yo, bright bay gelding. He went unsound last October and has been brought back into work slowly - he is now sound in trot and canter on soft surface (full details available).
He prefers to live out 24/7 in summer, stabled at night in winter.
He is well schooled, works in at outline in all 3 paces and has fabulous jump. Last summer he won his section at PC camp with a 15yo rider – first in dressage, XC and SJ. We showed him in ridden hunter classes on a local level and he was never out of ribbons. He qualified for Ingliston last October. He went clear at Rowallan looking after a nervous novice rider in 55-75cm classes.
We have had him at the beach on a number of occasions (he’s a dream to load) alone and in company and he has always been 100% (although he prefers the sand to the waves!), he was never strong and was even happy to let another horse canter away from him and didn't bother about badly behaved dogs circling him.
He needs an experienced confident rider (NOT first horse) as he can spook/nap although he is better in company.
