How do I edit my advert?
To edit your advert click on the "my adverts" link located on the left hand side of the site in the navigation section. This will take you directly into your account. You will see your advert listed. Click on the "Open" button. This will open your advert. Alternatively you can click on the edit button at the bottom of your advert.
You can then edit your advert. Once you have made the changes you can then publish your advert. Be sure to refresh you browser so that you can see the changes.
  
Q?: My photograph is too large and I cannot resize it?
A: If you have difficulty resizing your photograph do not publish your advert. Your advert will remain offline in your account. Please send your photograph to: photoads@scothorse.net
We will add your photograph to your advert for you. Once we have done this we will notify you. You can then publish your advert.
  
Q?: Is there is a maximum number of adverts that we are allowed to have?
No you are not limited to the quantity of adverts you place. However please do not advertise more than one horse per advert. You may however advertise multiple "goods" example horse trailer and 4X4 or multiple second hand sadlery and tack. Please note we monitor the classifieds at all times. Anyone abusing the service will automatically have thier accounts/adverts deleted.
  
Q?:I was just wondering if there is a maximum number of messages allowed in our account
No there is no limit as to the quantity of messages you are allowed to receive.
  
Q?: I have forgotten my password and user ID
A: To retrieve your password and user ID, click on the link below "Members Log In", located on the left hand side of the website. Your details will be sent to you.
  
Q?: I Cannot log in? It will not accept my User ID/ or Password.
A: Please make sure that you do not have your capital locks switched on. The program is case sensitive.
Please refresh your browser before trying to proceed again.
If you are sure that your user ID and password are correct and you do not have your cap locks switched on, we recommend that you empty your cached files especially if you use MIE "remember password tools".
Your cached files are stored in your Internet options folder. This is located in your "settings". (Please refer to your operating system to do this we do not offer tehnical support with this matter) It is then recommended that you restart your computer.
  
Q?: How do I place an advert?
A: To place an advert you first need to register. Click on the registration button located on the left hand side of the site. You must then follow instructions given to you. Please read these instructions carefully.
  
Q?: Do I have to pay to become a registered member>
A: No Registering to become a member is Free of charge. You only pay if you wish to place an advert.
  
Q?: Have I got messages or not?
Q: I am trying to access the messages for one of my adverts, my advert shows me that there are messages but when I log into my account to retrieve them it states "no messages".
A: The system keeps a total count of messages received for each of your adverts, if you remove old messages it will still tell you that you have messages, but in fact you haven't. You are notified by email every time a message is sent to you.
  
Q? How Do I contact someone about their advert. I cannot see any contact telephone numbers or e-mail addresses.
A? That is correct Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses are not displayed as a means of protecting the advertisers privacy. To Contact someone about their advert you will need to be a registered member of Scothorse. Please register located on the left of every page.
